Riddles In Rhymes & UK reviews

Feb 21, 2011
We've released the single Riddles In Rhymes by Treefight For Sunlight today. It comes with  an exclusive acoustic version of ”Time Stretcher” as the B-side recorded in the Danish church Apostelkirken for their session to At My Place.

You can buy it on our shop

We released their debut album A Collection Of Vibrations For Your Skull in October 2010 (Denmark only), and last Monday Bella Union released it world wide and the praising words about the album are overwhelming.

Treefight For Sunlight has due to the success added more dates to their tour.

Some of the reviews:

  • UNCUT Magazine (4/5): ”Denmarks greatest export is no longer LEGO. (…) Treefight For Sunlight must surely be one of 2011´s brightest hopes. (…) This is ambitious, deliciously delirious stuff, TFS arriving fully-formed.”
  • MOJO Magazine (4/5): ”This four-piece from Copenhagen should, by rights, be almost sickeningly winsome (…).”
  • Q Magazine (4/5): ”When all comes together – as on single Facing The Sun, or symphonic opener A Dream Before You Sleep – the effect is stunning.”
  • Artrocker (5/5): ”Clocking in at a mere 35 minutes, this is supremely focused and confident for a debut album. Most importantly though, it´s astoundingly lovely (…).”
  • The Sunday Times (4/5): ”(…) boy, they do it well. The Universe Is A Woman, Facing The Sun, Rain Air and What Became Of You And I? Are so giddy-makingly propulsive and swoonsome, the temtation to assert the emotional primacy of the genre the band work in begins to seem irresistible.”
