The New Spring's new album out now!

Sep 16, 2014

Bastian Kallesøe aka The New Spring has finally released his 3rd album. Keep reading if you've also been waiting for Nick Drake's successor since 1974...

During the past few months we've been revealing three tracks from Late Bloomer: first came 'The Hours of the Day', a joyful and warm track featuring the album's signature trio setting of guitars & vocals, piano and tuba. Then Bastian's tribute to his favorite performance artist came out; the mezmerizing 'Song for Ana Mendieta' accompanied by a compelling video made by Bastian and his longtime friend and former band-mate Sebastian Hedevang. And finally a few days ago Bastian played 'Your Birthday (Stilleben #1)' live on Danish television (a top class performance if you ask us). It's with great pride that we're once again the label behind another folk milestone by The New Spring. But enough of us throwing superlatives in your face - so here's some other notable music people doing it for us:

"A truly magical achievement." GoldFlakePaint(UK)

"Cloaked in a childlike sense of admiration for what a new dawn can bring, Kalesøe’s clear, charismatic vocals and knack for an upbeat guitar-led arangement (one that is almost the dictionary definition of jaunty)proves that the pleasant, uplifting folk of 'The Hours of The Day' is completely compeling in its welcome simplicity and charm." The Line of Best Fit(UK)

"Another stunning release from Tambourhinoceros!" Gimme Indie (SE)
