Iceage invades the US

Mar 18, 2011
If Iceage is not the shape of the punk to come then they are at the shape of the punk of now.

The Danish reviewers immediately fell for the young band’s debut album The New Brigade back in January with phrases like: “the album can prove to be defining for a generation” and “Welcome back, Danish punk”. The punksters, but also the mainstream audience accepted the new sound and Denmark was invaded by punk for a moment. One of the most traditional media in Denmark, the public service media company Danmarks Radio even did a 2 minutes long radio feature in their news coverage (in Danish, sorry).

This week Dais Records puts out iceage’s New Brigade in the states in a limited 500 copies only version (vinyl). Hurry up, if you want to lay your hands on it – the Danish print was sold out in only a few days.

We have already seen a shitload of good coverage abroad and if you haven’t already read it then enjoy these cool pieces about Iceage:

The collective music blog Altered Zones even put their quality sticker “Zoned in” on Iceage here.

For those of you who live in Europe, there are still a few CDs left and also some of the vinyls (second printing). Order your CD or digitally on our shop.
