Live session: The New Spring "Gershwin's Invisible Year"
”Gershwin’s Invisible Year” is the opening cut from the upcoming The New Spring album Wholly Wholly. (Out on Feb 2, 2018)
For the first time ever Bastian Kallesøe has recruited a whole band for the recordings, and exactly this is the most exciting part for Bastian himself.
“It’s a huge experience for me playing with a band. Being a part of a whole body is very satisfying. In the past The New Spring have always been my own project, even though I have been getting help throughout the years. I think there always will be some sort of oafish loneliness with this project. Nevertheless, the project always seems to brighten up when other people make their mark on it.”
Bastian and the band is going on a tour this spring and the live session version of “Gershwin’s Invisible Year” shows very precisely what the fans can expect from the concerts.
The New Spring is going on a DK tour and will play at following places.

Wholly Wholly is Bastian's most ambitious album so far. The record, produced by Jens Ramon Murga, has been two years in the making and for the first time Bastian has recruited a full band for the recordings. The combination of their contribution and Bastian's still more impressive and characteristic songwriting makes for an experimental folk pop album full of strong and convincing melodies that aim to please as well as challenge the listener.
