Kleo releases new single "Boys"

Kleo surrenders to desire on her new single “Boys”. The single arrives as a soundtrack to the last summer nights: dusty, warm, and full of longing. It also touches on the darker side of desire — where it doesn’t lead to real love, but repeating habits resulting in despair.

Listen to "Boys" here.

“The real tragedy here is constantly chasing the romantic quick fix to escape your emptiness. The question I ask myself is: How do I want to act in this world? A world where you either pull the rug out from under others — or pull it out from under yourself,” Kleo says, and continues:

“”Boys” is the most unfiltered song I’ve ever written. It was written during a time when I was deeply aware of my own decadence. I was knowingly walking into the fire.”

The music video for Kleo’s single “Boys,” directed by Wilian Juul Gudmand-Høyer, pays homage to vintage American cinema, mirroring the song’s sense of longing. It also captures the sense of everyday magic that lies in the heart of Kleo's music.
