Palace Winter drops album track "H.W. Running"

“H.W. Running” is the latest single from the upcoming album Waiting for the World to Turn out June 3rd (pre-order here).

“H.W. Running” broadens Palace Winter’s talents as songwriters. It starts out with a driving drum beat that that keeps on going as the song builds up to a monumental chorus releasing the tension of the melancholic opening. The repetitive krautrock atmosphere throughout the song is set to be a Palace Winter trademark. The title of the song is a reference to the character H.W. from the movie “There Will Be Blood” by Paul Thomas Anderson. It becomes a tale of family and tension as Caspar explains:

“As a band we are very inspired by the cinematography of movies like There Will Be Blood. H.W. becomes the personification of the themes of this song with his love for his father and the tension between them as a clear reference point in the lyrics.”
