"Positron" is Palace Winter's first single from their forthcoming debut album Waiting for the World to Turn. It picks up where their 2015-hit EP Medication left off and puts the band’s particular brand of uptempo alternative rock into a big production.
From the moment the driving beats kicks in “Positron” has a firm grip on the listener. The Johnny Marr-styled guitars of the verse perfectly blends into the synth arpeggios of the chorus and both the lead vocals & the atmospheric guitar solo delivers some really memorable hooks before the track dissolves in it’s downtempo outro.
Caspar Hesselager share his thoughts on the new record and the single:
“We’ve been locked away in the studio just the two of us for a large part of 2015 making this record and we are extremely excited to finally be sharing the first track. “Positron” is a positive upbeat tune with an underlying darker theme which is expressed in the slow nightmare-like outro of the song’.
All instruments are played by Palace Winter except drums played by Christian Rindorf. The album is produced by Caspar and Carl Coleman and mixed and mastered by Caspar at his studio Pinligtavshed in Copenhagen.
