8 year anniversary for "Forever Grinning" - prices dropped by 50% this week only

As you know good music never dies, it only gets cheaper - and this week we mark the 8 year anniversary of Thulebasen's EP Forever Grinning by putting it on sale at 50% of regular prices here (hat's a vinyl for just 8.5€)! If you prefer to stream this fine record, here's your options.

In October 2011, Thulebasen was contacted by Denmark's National Art Museum to create a song for one of the paintings from their collection of 19th-century Danish paintings. The band chose a Jørgen Sonne painting from 1847 entitled ”Midsummer’s Eve - Sick People Asleep upon the Grave of St Helena at Tisvilde”.  The painting depicts a group of visibly infirm people sitting, and waiting. A myth states that the Saint could heal them if they stayed on the grave overnight. With a strange luminosity that is both light and dark, this painting is famous for being the first to capture the unique light conditions of a summer night in Denmark. "Forever Grinning" is the song they wrote for this painting.

The EP also features remixes of "Forever Grinning" from five of Thulebasen’s friends, dotted across the map: Eric Copeland in New York, Happiness in Stockholm, Lucky Dragons in LA, Lamburg Tony in Grindsted, and Gala Drop in Lisbon.
