Introducing "Your House" by Rangleklods

Rangleklods releases the single “Your House '' as a present-day tribute to the house music booming out of Paris in the late 90s. The song reflects on the formative experience of finding your path as you grow up – musically and socially.

”Your House” represents the place where you can feel safe, where you have your base, and where you show exactly who you are and no one judges you”, Esben Nørskov Andersen aka Rangleklods explains.

It’s the summer holidays and in a French record store, a young Esben Nørskov Andersen reaches for a CD compilation of French house music. A random act that had a major impact on his formative teenage years in Denmark and has played a significant role in the multifaceted, curious and richly detailed sound we know today as Rangleklods, Esben Nørskov Andersen’s solo project.

“I’d never heard music like that before! Playful, looping and excessively warm,” he says.

Rangleklods’s new single “Your House'' is embracing and euphoric and tells the story of growing up while still getting into your stride. Where youth is shaped by chance encounters and decisions which can end up having a profound impact on the path you choose. To Esben Nørskov Andersen, the CD from the record store in the south of France was a milestone and a pathway to explore a genre of music unknown to him. And with friends in his hometown, the discovery evolved into parties where they indulged in these new sounds from what felt like a faraway world.

“I had this completely physical reaction that just made total sense to me. Club music is music for both the ears and for the body. So that transcendence of the music — the bass drum that hits you in the chest — was one-to-one the energy that I already felt in my body in my body at that point in my life”, says Esben Nørskov Andersen about discovering house music and goes on to talk about the parties held in his provincial Danish hometown:

“It was a very ‘exclusive’ club because hardly anyone else liked the music. But it made our community stronger and the parties ten times more legendary,” he explains about finding his footing — both musically and with new and close friends.

Simultaneously Rangleklods announces a series of shows in DK, and the audience can expect outstanding electronic magic from the stage:

“The energy it gave me to hear this music for the first time" is exactly what I try to pass on during my shows. It's a hard-hitting but warm energy that seeks love and chaos at the same time," says Esben Nørskov Andersen.
