School of X & Soleima Serenade From Home

School of X & Soleima Serenade From Home

Following the release of his debut album Armlock, School of X has just recorded a beautiful and casual live session of ‘Parking Lot’, at home together with Danish artist and partner Soleima.

The sense of ease with which the two stroll through the stripped-down song - evening light shining gently through the white window curtain - comes in beautiful contrast to the album version’s syncopated percussion and head-banging chorus.

The live session also reveals a hidden side to the singer Soleima, whose role is usually limited to the microphone in her own solo music. Mid-way through the song she playfully breaks out into a soulful organ solo that would be just as fitting in a Baptist Church service or 70’s soul record.

And a quick heads up: School of X will finally be bringing Armlock to the stage at Hotel Cecil on October 17, after his dates at Heartland Festival and SXSW were cancelled due to Corona. You can get your tickets here, and we can’t wait to see you there!
