Spacebaby

Spacebaby is a tribute to music and a manifestation of the trio's love and dedication to creating together. Music is — in their own words — "a great and sacred duty." Spacebaby is a recognition of, and an attempt, to continue the tradition of rock music as a form of art for the people.

Skammens vogn is a trio consisting of the poet and priest Nikolaj Zeuthen, the healer Oliver Hoiness and the Irish cannabis farmer Jakob Millung. It's a group based on a friendship from elementary school, an artistic and spiritual community that has existed for almost twenty years. The band broke through to Danish audiences with the album Asfalt (2013), and Spacebaby is their eighth album(!).

As always, Jakob Millung is the rhythm section as both bassist and drummer, while Oliver Hoiness is responsible for guitars and keys. The trio is also assisted by Øyvind Ougaard on harmonica. Ougaard has been in Danish rock and folk music since the 70s and has contributed live and in the studio, from local heroes like Røde mor to Monrad and Rislund, from Kim Larsen to Anne Linnet. 

For his lyrics, Zeuthen has been nominated twice for the Carl Prize by the Danish music Publisher association and once for the Danish music critic's award Steppeulven. Similarly, Oliver Hoiness has received a Steppeulv as "Musician of the Year". Jakob Millung has several awards behind him, primarily as a former member of Moi Caprice and Choir of Young Believers.
