Iceage is a Danish punk rock band consisting of Elias Bender Rønnenfelt, Jakob Tvilling Pless, Johan Surrballe Wieth and Dan Kjær Nielsen. The band was formed by the four boys back in the school-yeard, only 12-years old.

Iceage has always been a band with ambitions, nerve and the guts to walk their own ways. Iceage started out as a vital part of the underground heavy scene of Copenhagen. In 2009 they released the self-titled 7” over on our friends at Escho and soon the band’s name started to spread from the inner circles of the punk scene in Copenhagen to other scenes.

January 10th, 2011 we put out Iceage’s debut album New Brigade collectively with Escho. The critics loved the album and the album rapidly became known all over Denmark. Some even spoke of Iceage as a breakthrough in Danish music and that Iceage dared to walk in another direction than others. New Brigade is a 12 track album recorded in only 4 days together with Jens Benz and Thulebasen’s Nis Bysted. 24 minutes of Iceage is enough to have the world understand that Iceage has the upper hand.

Today Iceage’s debut album has been released worldwide and they are playing gigs all over the world. As a band Iceage have never compromised with their punk root and if you ever get the chance to see them, it will most likely be in a small clubs in a back yard or in a warehouse. Watch out for the mosh-pits.
