The Entrepreneurs are an explosive Copenhagen-based rock band. Their noisy songs are aesthetically rich and develop experimental variations on some of rock’s most significant subgenres like punk, grunge, post-rock — always performed with an underlying experimental and explosive feel.
As musicians and songwriters, The Entrepreneurs take on an approach of always being curious and open to inspiration. Everything goes as the band continues developing and finding new layers to their hard-hitting sound.
Bass player Anders Hvass and singer & guitarist Mathias Bertelsen met in their teens when they started in high school together in Thy, a small region in northern Denmark known for its creative environment and progressive youth culture. Anders and Mathias formed a musical alliance, meeting up and presenting each other with exciting new bands and songs. Over time, this relationship developed into a band
Starting out as a duo with a drum machine, they soon realised that they needed to bring on a drummer. Initially joining as part of the live band, Jonas Wetterslev quickly became an integral part of the Entrepreneurs, leading to their expansion into a trio.
In 2016 The Entrepreneurs released their debut EP Tony Rominger to national critical acclaim, and followed up with an extensive tour, first earning them their persisting reputation as an amazing live band. They feed off the energy of the crowd and return the favour with explosive performances every time.
In 2018 The Entrepreneurs signed with Tambourhinoceros and released their debut album Noise & Romance on February 1st, 2019, followed by headliners and festivals in their native Denmark, and across Europe and the UK.
