The New Spring's debut album turns 5

The New Spring's debut album turns 5

Time flyes! Our inhouse folk extraordinaire Bastian Kallesøe aka The New Spring made his debut as a solo act 5 years ago today with his self-titled debut album. This post means to celebrate this absolutely great album.

The album has a lot of weight within the Tambou HQ - not only is the lead single "The Glow" one of the best performing tracks in our catalog to date – it was also during the recordings where Bastian's friend Tue came to visit the studio that the label got its 3rd partner alongside the founders Aske Zidore & myself (Kristoffer Rom). Today me & Tue runs & owns Tambourhinoceros 50/50. Well, enough about the label!

When listening through the album while writing this its sounds as fresh as ever. Incredibly diverse (as the videos below is also a testament of) and with stunning lyrics and guitars from start till finish. Have a listen to The New Spring here.

A great note to close on: Bastian is currently recording his 4th album!
