"Infant, elder, warrior – idiot, sage, vagabond, showman – street sweeper, astronaut – past, present, and forever – it is the call and voice of music that we try to answer to the best of our ability."
For Skammens Vogn, making music is a matter of life and death. Yet, they incorporate a sense of playfulness to reflect the duality of their music: deep seriousness embedded in joy, wonder, and even humor. They are now releasing the folk-blues single “Rens mine tanker.” Along with the single, Skammens Vogn is announcing their upcoming album Spacebaby, set for release on November 8th.

The trio—comprised of priest and poet Nikolaj Zeuthen, healer Oliver Hoiness, and cannabis farmer Jakob Millung—are ready to unveil their 8th studio album, which drops on November 8th.
The first single from the album, “Rens mine tanker”, tells the story of a loving couple searching for answers and life lessons. About the single frontman Nikolaj Zeuthen says: “Life is confusing. It’s like that for everyone, but if you listen closely, there’s always a bird singing somewhere.”
Spacebaby is a tribute to music, as well as the trio's love for and dedication to creating together. In their own words, making music is “their great and holy duty.” The album title, Spacebaby, is a nod to a hidden Kim Larsen quote. It tells the tale of a space traveler who journeys to the other side of time and returns as a fetus. For Skammens Vogn music, like the space traveler, transcends time and place. That’s what the spacebaby represents.
As always, Jakob Millung shapes the rhythmic soundscape as bassist and drummer, while Oliver Hoiness handles guitar and keys. The lyrical universe is crafted by Nikolaj Zeuthen, who also serves as the band’s vocal frontman.
“Rens mine tanker” is released by Tambourhinoceros (Brimheim, Lucky Lo, Rangleklods, and more) on August 22nd, 2024. You can pre-order or pre-save the album Spacebaby here.
