Stars Are A Sailing

"Stars Are A Sailing" is the first single from the debut album Reminiscence of a Bodily Blues by Kala-OK.

The song is sung by Kristian Mondrup's chinese girlfriend Shiuyan Liu and is a lullaby to her from by Kristian, written when they where living apart; Shiuyan in New York and Kristian in Taipei.

Kala-OK is the alias od Danish composer & drummer Kristian Mondrup:

”Contrary to most songwriters I am a drummer, not a singer or a guitar player. This means that many of my songs are written with rythm as the starting point. For years I have recorded a lot of melodic samples played on different instruments, and the album is the result of all these samples cut-and-pasted into songs which I have played and added drums and bass to.”
